The Love Of Money

Money is the love of, or the lack of, that makes it the root of all-evil. However it seen, money makes our life feel as if it has meaning. Long before the greenback, the euro, the Dutch mark, frank, yen or whatever currency you carry. Acquiring things were done in a different manner, called bartering. Which one can receive things, by exchanging something for something else of equal or greater value. This process of purchasing is still practice today, and thrives in the prison system. Centuries before the Hellenization of the world, wealth was based on one’s knowledge, rather than his belongings.

The Babylonian empire established an efficient monetary system. History states that the Babylonians were doing international business, long before the European nations made cents.

No one can serve two masters; For either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. [Matt. 6:24]

From an ever-changing world comes something that is forever changing; the mighty dollar. A term used loosely—liquid assets, cash.

Being on the road with too much money can be hazardous to one’s health. To prevent this, security measures are taken. One can open a bank account and make payments by check or money order. Credit cards became available in the late 1900’s. As long as individuals and organizations continue to compete for money, technology will continue to improve on security and logistics of the countries’ monetary system.

The transportation of money has played its part. Around the world, money is transported differently. In the Middle East, it is worn like jewelry. Americans prefer cash. Now money can be worn on your key chain or be placed on your dashboard. The invention of various technologies, the government deterrent of counterfeiters, and the markets tracking of every transaction, money will constantly evolve. Soon enough it will be in your right hand or your forehead.

Microchip implantation has been around since the eighties. For fewer than fifty dollars you can implant your pet with a chip. It has been used to unite thousand of pets with their owners. One of two companies in the field of microchip implantation has listed over two million pets in their files. The chip contains a number, which is listed in the database, where personal records, medical history and other pertinent information are stored.

If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives the mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of his indignation. He shall be tormented. [Rev. 14:9, 10]

A company in Florida awaiting FDA approval may become the first to sell chips designed to be implanted in humans. The chips can be programmed to perform various applications like monitoring Alzheimer patients using global positioning systems, for a secure form identification, and potential use as a built-in credit card. In Boca Raton, Florida a family will become the first ever to implant with an identification device—no bigger than a grain of rice. "We definitely, wholeheartedly, believe that this technology will change the world." Says the mother. Her husband and son said they share her pioneering attitude about the new chip.
